Getting Paid v Not Getting Paid
Part Funded £75:00This Best Practice Workshop has been carefully developed to help electrical contractors and subcontractors improve the commercial management of building contracts
Getting paid on time and receiving what is owed in full is not just important—it is vital for the survival, stability, and growth of any business. Late payments, underpayments, or unexpected delays can create significant challenges, particularly in the fast-paced and resource-intensive construction industry.
Seán Bradley has carried out an extensive review of the most common reasons payments are delayed or disputed. Based on these findings, this workshop has been created to help you identify and avoid these pitfalls. By following these recommendations, you can improve your cashflow and minimise financial risks, ensuring your business remains on solid footing.
This workshop has been developed to help support the industry, setting out key areas where issues often arise and providing clear advice on best practice in each case. The workshop will focus on the following key areas –
- Tender Qualifications
- Contract Amendments
- Payment Schedules & Applications
- Variations
- Retentions
- Notices
- Record Keeping
- Adjudication & Payment Provisions
By adopting the best practices outlined in the workshop, you can reduce payment-related challenges, strengthen your financial foundation, and focus on building a successful and sustainable business.
