Who Should Attend?
This course is for attendees looking to gain an understanding of how to design and commission emergency lighting systems and all relevant documents that are applicable to BS 5266/EN1838. It also provides understanding of legislation and standards relating to fire detection and fire alarm systems along with the basic principles of fire and fire behaviour in line with BS 5839.
There are no formal entry requirements. However, it is ideally suited to practicing electricians or people who wish to ensure others are doing the job correctly, such as risk assessors, site agents, landlords, FM Managers, Estates Managers, Building Control Inspectors and Public Authority technical staff.
What Will I Learn?
The course will show attendees how to ensure emergency lighting systems comply with the BS 5266/EN 1838. Candidates will gain an understanding of installation, servicing and commissioning activities and will also be shown how to complete the relevant certificates. Candidates will gain an understanding of legislation and standards that relate to fire detection and fire alarm systems, along with the basic principles of fire and fire behaviour.

If you provide us with notice of cancellation 28 days before the date of the course, we will refund you with 100% of your payment, minus any non-refundable deposit. We will be unable to provide you with a refund where notice of cancellation is received after this period. Where payment has not already been received, you will be invoiced for the amount owed.
We do our best to run all scheduled courses. However, from time to time it may be necessary to cancel or postpone courses due to circumstances beyond our control. If this should happen, we will take all reasonable steps to notify you in good time. We will also refund 100% of your payment.
