Who Should Attend?

This course is for attendees who want to gain improved skill and knowledge to facilitate the navigation of projects from tender stage to completion.  The course will be useful for contractors and subcontractors who work under various forms of contract.  This is a must-attend course for those wanting to affirm their contract management knowledge as well as skills, it also provides an understanding of construction contract legislation and standards relating to quality.

What Will I Learn?

The course will begin by looking at key elements of contract formation, before moving on to outline how procurement processes and construction contracts operate.  We will also look at the legislative requirements in relation to payment both upstream and downstream in the supply chain.  The course will also cover a specific section on mitigating risks associated with change and how best to approach claims for time and money, before moving on to look at workmanship and defects.  The course will conclude by providing an overview of dispute resolution options available and what the implications of these are, as well as advice around termination and the risks associated with this.
