Thank you for joining us at Stay Connected 2024

We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to connect and bring together so many electrical workers, contractors and industry representatives at last week’s event 👏

We hope everyone found the CPD sessions and presentations both informative and engaging, offering fresh perspectives and actionable insights. We would like to extend our thanks to all attendees for making this one our biggest and most successful events to date.

Thank you to our outstanding line-up of speakers for sharing their expertise, to our exhibitors for showcasing innovative solutions, to our sponsors for their generous support and Galgorm Collection for their support and attention to detail.

❗ Ending ‘Shock Silence’ ❗

The ‘Shock Silence’ report launch at the Stay Connected event demonstrated the collective determination of our industry to prioritise safety and protect lives. Electric shocks can lead to severe and life-changing injuries or fatalities. The figures in the ‘Shock Silence’ report represent real people and real families. As an industry, we must work towards creating a safety conscious culture where all electric shock incidents are reported, investigated, and prevented in the future. Every report of an electric shock is a step towards a safer working environment for everyone.

ETT wants to engage with industry to create an action plan to not only target underreporting, but to significantly reduce the number of electric shocks occurring in the first place. We want to hear from all industry stakeholders – from employers to suppliers, and electrical workers to clients. Together, we can and must do better.  To obtain a copy of the Ending ‘Shock Silence’ report, or to get involved in the industry-led working group developing the action plan, email charlotte@ett-ni.org

⁉️ Safe Isolation – Our Commitment ⁉️

We hope everyone left last week’s event with a clear understanding of the critical importance of safe isolation within our industry. Michael’s Story and Louise Adamson‘s presentation hit hard, providing a compelling reminder of the urgent need to prioritise electrical safety. In light of this, we remain committed to promoting and enhancing safe isolation practices across Northern Ireland in 2025. As part of our commitment, we are pleased to announce that our safe isolation training will continue to be part funded by ETT, with a 50% discount, priced at £62.50pp, throughout 2025 making the training more affordable to those in our industry.

We hope the event created new connections, and opportunities to drive positive change and growth in our industry.

📅 Save the Date: Mark your calendars for Wed 26th November 2025, Stay Connected will return, and we can’t wait to see you there!
